In order for businesses and public spaces operate safely through the COVID-19 Pandemic, here are some simple guidelines to ensure the health and safety of you, your employees, and their families.
- Mandatory Mask – optional for lift operators
- Social Distancing – 6 feet
- Wash Hands / Sanitize Hands frequently
- Do Not Touch Your Face
- Mandatory Temperature Test at Entrance to Workplace – If HOT
(+ 99.7) Send Home. - Symptom Check – Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19 and MUST BE TESTED;
- Fever or chills
- Dry Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
7) If an employee exhibits any of these symptoms, they MUST BE TESTED
and test NEGATIVE before coming back to work.
8) The employee who is tested MAY NOT return to work until the
NEGATIVE test results are shown to management (may be emailed).
9) If an employee TESTS POSITIVE, The CDC provides these 2 alternatives
to return to work:
Symptom-based strategy. Exclude from work until:
- At least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since recovery defined as resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath); and;
- At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared
Test-based strategy. Exclude from work until:
- Resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and
- Improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of
- breath), and
- Negative results of an FDA Emergency Use Authorized COVID-19
- molecular assay for detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA from at least two
- consecutive respiratory specimens collected ≥24 hours apart (total of two
- negative specimens).
